Tai Chi for Arthritis – A Program Overview

Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) is a gentle, evidence-based movement program designed to improve balance, joint health, coordination, and confidence through slow, intentional movement. The program is especially effective for reducing stiffness, supporting mobility, and lowering fall risk, while remaining accessible to a wide range of abilities.

Classes emphasize:

  • Smooth, controlled movements

  • Upright posture and balance awareness

  • Coordinated breathing

  • Safe, repeatable patterns that support long-term joint and bone health​
     

TCA is taught in a supportive group setting and meets participants exactly where they are — no prior experience required.

Program Structure
  • Format: Workshop series (16 total sessions)

  • Schedule Options:

    • Twice weekly for 8 weeks, or

    • Once weekly for 16 weeks

  • Class Length: 45 minutes

  • Setting: Small-group format to ensure safety, clarity, and individual attention

Tai Chi for Arthritis is offered through Fusion Fit, LLC, the community wellness arm affiliated with Spring House Pilates of Ohio. Fusion Fit brings high-quality, evidence-informed movement programs into partner studios and community spaces, making mindful movement accessible beyond the traditional studio setting.

Cathy brings a calm, evidence-informed approach to movement, emphasizing safety, balance, and confidence so participants feel supported at every stage.
